REV. NAJUMA SMITH-POLLARD is the Pastor of St James AME church in Los Angeles and is certain that her ministries focus is on inner-city youth and young adults. In 1997, after having spent nine years as an active lay member at First AME Church (FAME), Los Angeles she joined the Ministerial staff of FAME, under the fathering guidance and love of then Pastor, Rev., Dr. Cecil L. “Chip” Murray. Her first ten years of ministry have been a spiritually growing time in which Najuma has been able to preach nationally and internationally in Spain and Israel; speak at various conferences, participate in community panel discussions, and network with some of the countries greatest ministers, politicians and entertainers. She is also Co-Chair of Imani Phi Christ, a Christian sorority that focuses on the development of African-American Teen Girls; President of Passing The Mantle Alumni Association; Board Member of Women's Global Resource Development Initiative (WGRDI) and Coordinator of the Southern California Conference of Women in Ministry.
